Sandy, I don't know what to tell you. The print drew and the cut cut perfectly. I didn't do anything. Didn't even look at the "closed" layers. I even had the pen in the machine when I started, just like you explained.

Oh, another thought. Did you do a print/preview to ensure that the image showed up on the preview. If you didn't have the material size set correctly or the orientation that could be a problem. Did you try "laser cut" to see where on the paper the image was going to draw/cut?

Maybe downloading and instally ecal? Were you using the Mac or the Win?

I must have the only eclips that does what it is supposed to do.

Oh, I turned on the other layers and it is so beautiful, I'm tempted to see if I can do something with it.

Sorry you are having so many problems.

Really pretty file, Sandy.

I read the situation, and would think you would have to put a blade in to cut,...but I guess I am not understanding.
No need to respond to me...I am just thinking out loud....lol

Just tried again....quits every time on the draw feature or I get eCal not responding message. Will try a re-install tomorrow and send a message to CE to see if they have had this occur at all. Am using the Mac.

Sandy, just a thought, but maybe the design is too small. Try spreading it larger and see if the machine will respond.

O.K. -- get this. Sometimes the obvious eludes me. I switched fonts and BINGO...it works like a charm. It did not like my font. Don't quite understand why it worked for Papasue (must be the work of the master's hand), but that font made my computer crash every time, and I tried it on a PC and Mac.

Didn't have time to make the card last night and my scrap room is a little tied up with my daughters National History Day project, so I took a screen capture of the layout of the card I "plan" to make. And this font is the one that gave me ulcers.
