Export to .svg

Post by papasue »

In version 2.038 and later

File/export
Select the file format as Inkscape or Illustrator (I prefer Inkscape)

Open in Inkscape
The file will be "grouped" ungroup (sometimes more than once, see info line on bottom of Inkscape window until there are no groups

That should do it.

I'm running the latest version 2.041. When I do a File - Export all the options showing are .svg, .bmp, or .png. I don't have a choice of "inkscape" or "Illustrator" versions of svg. What am I doing wrong? Because when I go to import into inkscape all that shows is a large white rectangle box.

I am running 2.041 also and experienced the same thing last night. However, I decided to "select all" just to see what happened and the paths were there - I just had to change the color from white to something that would show up.
