I am new to this. How do I get this to work. When I save it, it saves as an explorer page and the scal can't read it. I can't seem to save it as a .svg all on it's own. Do I have to open it in another program in order to save it? HELP!
Thanks,
Jen

click the "Bear Kiss.svg" link under the second picture.
if you want the pictures to go with the .svg file then right click the image and click "Save image as"

I believe you are leaving out a lot of steps. I tried to replicate what you get and found that you are just doing a save as.

You have to select the bitmap (the original picture and will have arrows around)
Path>Trace Bitmap (I usually use the top option and modify (clicking on update will show change as you modify the setting)
Once you have the correct setting, click on OK
Path>Break Apart and move/color the shapes as necessary
Save file

Could the Kissing Bears and the Maine Lobster and any others in this thread be put into one of the categories above? That way people in the future might be able to find them easier than search all threads.
