New updates for SCAL2.
Re: New updates for SCAL2.
When i import svg files they come in huge!!! Like 400 inches tall. Is there something i can do to fix this! I know how to fix it once it is on the mat but is there anything tha can be done to avoid it from happening?

You can set the default source as Inkscape instead of Illustrator, and the files will import a little smaller. They import at the size they were made. The problem is that they aren't always made at a size for cutting. I know that before SCAL2 I rarely paid attention to the size I was working with since it didn't matter when importing into SCAL1.esheen wrote:When i import svg files they come in huge!!! Thank you for the suggestion - I changed it and when I imported an SVG file, it again came in at 545 inches tall! Whew. I was able to import normal sized SVGs before the update. Am I the only one having this problem?

Re: New updates for SCAL2.
Try opening the file in Inkscape to see what size it is there. I haven't had any problems with the update and XP or Vista. If it isn't the file I don't know what else to suggest.

Re: New updates for SCAL2.
I have opened saved svg files from myscrapchick.com and those files open HUGE! My svg files from other sites seem to open at a reasonable size. My own scut files that I have saved open up at the correct size but i can't delete them when they are on the mat. In order to get rid of my own scut files,I have to start a new project and wipe the mat clean. ?? I am using Windows 7.

I have SCAL version 2.004, that was the first that I purchased. How do I get the downloads for the updates?

Just go back to where you first downloaded and get the newest version and install it.nana_bugaboo wrote:I have SCAL version 2.004, that was the first that I purchased. How do I get the downloads for the updates?
No need for registration codes or anything (well if everything goes smoothly

Then run the downloaded file. No need to uninstall old version, the update installs over ithe old with no problems.
Cheers
Craig
Just a suggestion for craft edge - it would be helpful to users put a note on the download page stating somethign along the lines of the above - ie no need to uninstall the old....
