New updates for SCAL2.

Post by HeatherM »

Both the Windows and Mac versions of SCAL2 have new updates available. CE has added some great new features to SCAL! I tried them all out and they worked on the Windows version. They are: Break Apart, alignment tools, auto-fill, a new view option, and selection has been improved. More details are available on my blog. :D

Thanks Heather for the update.
Looks like a bit of healthy competition is going to be good for the consumers :)
Cheers

Thank you Heather - I am new to SCAL as of last week - is there an update or do I re-download and install the entire program?
Thanks!

Oh Heather, I am so glad to hear this! I was just updating my comparison chart and feeling kinds down about the silence from the SCAL camp. This makes my day!

Just been playing around and the break apart works well.
Once I put it in layers and colours I found the selection of some of the smaller objects a little difficult.
Found that I had to lock some of the layers so that they could not be selected, especially the shadow layer. Also had to send some of the objects in the layers to the back.

Looks good so far :)

Nice. I'm glad to see the Mac and Windows version were updated at the same time.

Now for some griping...

Alignment appears to only be relative to the mat. Most software, e.g. Inkscape, make alignment relative to either the first or last object selected (Inkscape lets you choose several different options).
