Cutting Template
Cutting Template
Downloaded a envelope template. Did the inkscape thing and have a svg file to import into scal. When I cut in scal the little window stays on checking mat and the cricut is cuting over the same line many times. The outline in scal looks sort of thick. What did I do or not do whichever the case may be. Thanks in advance.
Re: Cutting Template
...this sounds as if you have duplicates of one layer laying on the others!
This happens when you convert pictures into vectors!
open the svg again in inkscape/illustrator and delete duplicate lines/vectors!
good luck!

Re: Cutting Template
Can you post a link to the file you downloaded?

Re: Cutting Template
Without seeing the image that was traced or the svg, I would guess that you have a sketchy trace. You should either try the paint bucket tool, or increase the threshold when you are tracing to get solid lines. See this post on the paint bucket. http://forums.surecutsalot.com/viewtopi ... &sk=t&sd=a
If you choose to try tracing again, increase the threshold until you get solid lines on your trace. Sometimes I have to go all the way up to 0.9 or 0.95 depending on how light the original image was. You then need to break apart the image and delete the extra lines.
