I got the dreaded red x

I got a red x too.

don't know how come but I was able to ungroup then break apart and move red x off to side select and delete it then select again on the dog and combine and it worked for me.

that's what I did.

I didn't cut it, but did take a look at it. The file needs a bit of tweaking to make it user friendly. The nodes should be reduced as well as delete some of the unnecessary cut lines/nodes.
