Re: Kiss Cut not working
Shoot...thought we were close to getting this figured out! LOL But it made me think - does it matter how the blade goes into the housing? Should the longer edge of the blade be in the front or the back? At this point, does that even matter....that seems so nit-picky! I'm really, really, really stump...

Re: Kiss Cut not working
I don't have a little dot. There is an arrow that indicates the number you are on and a screw between the 2 and 3. Otherwise, I don't see any other indicators on the blade housing.
Maybe this means something...where should the dot be and how should I have it placed?

Re: Kiss Cut not working
I just tried that. Blew air into the housing, nothing came out. Tried cutting again, but it didn't make any difference
Set at 1, min pressure. Still cuts through vinyl and the backing.
Would a new blade housing make a difference?

Kiss Cut not working
Hi there, I'm hoping someone will be able to help me. When I first started with vinyl, I was able to do the kiss cut with no problem. I switched blades (and now with every cut, it is cutting thru the vinyl and the backing. I've tried changing blades again, I have tried cutting with the pressure to t...

Hawkeye and Cyclone Glass Blocks
Yeah! My first finished vinyl projects! These are for a school auction. Obviously, I'll replace the "Your Name" with personalization. I might add a wide ribbon on top with a little bit more vinyl (Go Hawks or Go 'Clones) Any other ideas?

Do I need Inkscape?
I'm just getting into SCAl and wondering if I need Inkscape. What would be the pros/cons of it? I'm wondering if I would need it for this project....I'd like a .svg of the file I attached. I'd like to make a vinyl of it....can anyone help me out?
Thanks,
Laura

Re: Does Welding not work with all fonts?
Thank you! I've never noticed that it was outlined - the lines were right on top of each other. (Heather, how did you know that? Is there an easy way for me to figure that out?) Once I did the break apart and took off the top layer, it worked! FYI...I had one small problem that I figured out and som...

Does Welding not work with all fonts?
I've just purchased SCAL for the Mac and I'm having problems with welding with at least 2 fonts (2 that I've been very excited about...CK Chunky Block and Doodle Super Fat) I've successfully welded and cut with other fonts, so I think I have the process right...but, when I click "Preview",...
