I'm on a Mac. It loaded to SCAL2 perfectly. Double clicking on it tried to open my version of SCAL1 for Mac, but if would not load to the old version. I hope we can upload files with the .scut2 extension soon. Except for the notes, there is no way to easily tell that these files won't open in the ol...

In honor of the Mac version of SCAL2, here's my first upload of a SCUT file. I guess we are unable to upload .scut2 files, so I deleted the 2 and it still seemed to open in SCAL2, although not in SCAL1.

Thanks for the info. I was just coming back to say that I found out that the downloads just added the new .xml extension and if you just delete that and leave .svg they work fine. An odd quirk on the downloading, but love the quick Mac fix.

All of the svg files I try to download from these forums come up as .xml files. Can anyone let me know how to convert or download them correctly? I use a Mac with Snow Leopard.

I crashed on every cut until I upgraded the firmware from 2.1 to 2.34. It seems to cut fine now. No plugging & unplugging or any other bother.

I have had some crashes - In fact it continually crashed on cut until I upgraded my Cricut firmware to v2.34. It now cuts like a charm. Still some crashes in design - save early and often, but cutting works great now.

I had the same problem. I was able to upgrade the Cricut Machine to Firmware v 2.34 and now have no cut crashes. You need to connect your Cricut to a Windows computer with Design Studio & Internet Connection to upgrade. Another option is to use a Gypsy. Connect it to the machine and select updat...
