Re: 3D Kirigami Snowflake
So can you fill me in on how you figured out how to have simple lines?? Every time I try something like that it wants to have a 'closed' path. If I don't close the path the preview in SCAL shows those radical lines. I'm hoping I'll soon be able to do the dashed score lines for tearing off or foldin...

Re: Import SVG button and import SVG at original size
Here's another workaround for the sizing issue, which works better for me since I spend a lot of time in Inkscape anyway: After you create an SVG file that you want to cut, bring up the document properties dialog in Inkscape (ctrl+shift+d). In the part labeled "custom size", Inkscape will ...

Re: 3D Kirigami Snowflake
The directions mention cutting the squares on a 12x12 piece of paper. I don't have the Expressions. Can these somehow be done on the regular Cricut? Would they be too small if they were cut on a 6" mat? I don't have a small Cricut to work with, so I can't confirm all of the details. Here is a ...

These really are beautiful! I tried downloading the .scut file and all I got was program jibberish. I note that you said it would be the easier file to use. Could you please check on that link for us? TIA! Merry Christmas! I think the issue is that .scut files are actually XML files internally. Dep...

3D Kirigami Snowflake
As some people have seen over on the "Bugs" board, I've been trying to figure out how to cut plain-old straight lines with SCAL. Well, I finally made it work and here is the result. This is a simple snowflake pattern that is fun to build with your kids. We've made tons of them this Christm...

Re: Christmas Tree
I didn't really enjoy the picture posted here, but the layout on your site is beautiful! Yeah, my wife had the same initial reaction when I was putting together the design. Sometimes you just have to see it, I guess. That's not to say that my ideas have all been winners, though. I've had sev...

Christmas Tree
http://theathertons.wordpress.com/files/2008/12/smalltree.jpg This is an abstract Christmas tree I used as the background I used for a scrapbook page of our 2007 Christmas pictures. I thought I'd share it with all of you, in case you could find it useful for your own page or project. It's a little ...
