Christmas Tree

Post by kenatherton »

Image

This is an abstract Christmas tree I used as the background I used for a scrapbook page of our 2007 Christmas pictures. I thought I'd share it with all of you, in case you could find it useful for your own page or project.

It's a little complicated to put together, but it makes a nice effect, especially if you use 3D glue dots (or some other method) to make the tree stand off the page.

To see my finished version of the page, click here: http://www.theathertons.info/2008/12/christmas-2007/

To download the pattern, click here: http://www.theathertons.info/2008/12/th ... e-pattern/

The pattern is designed for the Expression, but an enterprising soul could probably make it work on the smaller units as well.

I didn't really enjoy the picture posted here, but the layout on your site is beautiful!

Yeah, my wife had the same initial reaction when I was putting together the design. Sometimes you just have to see it, I guess. That's not to say that my ideas have all been winners, though. I've had several designs that went awry and didn't make it past the cutting stage (or sometimes even to the cutting stage).
