I think I used to know what to do but now that I have been learning more I am actually having trouble. I am trying to put text in a shape and its not coming out right in SCAL. How do I fix this?
This is just an example butr no somethig I will be using so I will need steps. I tried using difference but I think I am missing a step.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Help text in a shape
If you are using INK .47, you need to select the shape and then Path>Union. I did that and that fixed the problem I saw when I opened the svg file. I no longer have .46 installed so I can't go thru the steps to correct that version.
Since you are using SCAL2, I can't see the file.

Anointedhands your file didn't work in Scal2.. the l's were missing and the center of the "a" wasn't connected.. Anyhow.. I have inkscape .47 and redid it. Opened in SCAL2 and now it works... You use object/difference... here you go...
