Can I cut fabric applique pieces with my cricut?
I am an embroiderer and would like to use SCAL to import my embroidery designs and make applique pieces so I don't have to hand cut them. I would like to iron on an applique stabilizer then put on the carrier and send it through but didn't know if it would work. Any suggestions?

The best thing to do is TRY IT. The trick will be to get the pressure correct I think. Others who have done it will come by soon and let you know any tricks they've come up with,

I've used wonder under and a light weight cotton. You will need a new blade as duller ones will drag across the frabic. I made a blanket for my nephew using this technique. Worked like a charm!!

How about acrylic felt? I want to make a ruffle pillow using acrylic felt and I have to cut out 60 3" circles. Do I need a "deep" blade and has anyone used felt for any additonal tips they can offer to a newbie.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

You would have to try a sample piece as some fabrics do fray.. I'm inclined to think that the felt would stretch even with wunder under... as for the embroidery designs is this after you embroider them??? if it is you would have to be careful as it may cut come of your threads on the edge causing them to unravel..

Hi - After many months of having the materials I finally decided to cut fabric on my Cricut.
I watched the following video by The Scrap Review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEsYz9lBc7w
It was great. I used Steam a Seam 2 which this video recommended.
There were a couple of areas that I had to hand cut through but overall it worked pretty good.
Here is a picture of my project. (Christmas Tress are from SVGCuts.com)
