Inkscape file structure question

Post by DogCarbon »

Hi all!

Just wondering if there was a setting someplace that would let Inkscape point to the area that I have my ink files instead of the default area. such as each time I open ink it looks some other place than "my documents" and then I have multiple clicks to get to where I want it to look to open a file or save a file.

Click on File open. Once you has gone into the file open button, you will have a square screen that opens up. On the bottom left hand side of the square, there is a button named "Add". In the location where your files are, press that button and you can create a shortcut to your file folder where your svgs are held. It will create a shortcut in the rectangle just above the add button. Then you can just double click to get to your file folder. Hope this helps.

When you open up the import box, to the left, near the bottom is a button that says add. Click through till you get to where you keep your svg files, highlight the folder and select add. So if you keep them in your documents folder, go to your documents and highlight the svg folder. This will put the folder on the bar at the left and then all you will have to do is click on the folder when you open the import box. Hope this helps. :D
