run time error????

I'm trying to copy and paste a logo into inkscape. When I click copy I get an error box that says, "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the the application's support team for more information," Has anyone gotten this? I have never created anything in Inkscape. Should I remove the program and redownload it? Thanks Sue
