Digital Stamps

Did you know that you can use Inkscape to copy digital stamps from the web? Just import your image, Path>trace bitmap>Brightness cut off (usually threshold 45 will get rid of any watermarks)>View>Outline> get rid of red x box>. If there are any traces of words or watermarks I don't want, I break the image apart and get rid of them. Then combine again and export image to my digital stamp file. If I need them to be a bit darker, I go to Effects>color>darker. I don't use the Edge Detection at all in the Trace bitmap part of the process. Very handy for those of us on a strict budget.
