Silly question, about mat 'view'

Post by Aussie Alli »

Ok, it's been a long day, and i've got a headache, so i know i'm just missing something basic, but if i'm working with a 12x12 mat, where is the setting to make me able to see the whole mat on my screen? :?: On DSS is the % view button. I just can't find it here.

Thanks in advance

Go up to cutter, mat size and check 12x12. Make sure your maximize button on the top right of your screen is checked too.

Thanks Joan, i've done those things, but I can't get the whole mat on the screen at the same time. It goes across the whole way (to 12") but only to 10"down, I have to scroll down to see what is on the bottom of the mat. So if i've got a big shape, like a rectangle, I can't see it all without scrolling up and down..

I cannot see all the matt either. I have to scroll down to the last couple inches. I thought everybody's was like this. Does everybody else see the full 12 x 12 matt

I can 'see' all 12" - I get into trouble trying to view the entire width of a 12x24 mat.

Here's a screen shot of my 12x12.

Shari, What's "jasc paint" ??

Is it similar to paint shop pro? I see it on your screen shot.

If you are using it for scal, what are you doing?

It is PaintShop Pro. I have had the various versions of PSP since about version 3 (now it is up to, maybe 10?). I am very well versed in using PSP as my graphics program, whereas I am not that familiar with Inkscape which is also a graphics program. I use PSP to refine, clean up, color, etc. my .jpeg image before I bring that image into Inkscape. I use Inkscape to trace, break apart, and make .svg files. If I ever learn Inkscape then I wouldn't need to use PSP. <smile!>
