All over the place

Post by GrammyKrausse »

It has been many months since I cut anything. I know there was info on the blog about after making the svg in Inkscape and putting multi svg's on one mat, that sometimes the objects that are saved as one big svg file, when imported into scal, moves into unwanted area's of the mat. I know it has to be simple but for the life of me I can't figure out what to do to correct this. It's been too long. Daughterinlaw is coming over in a few minutes andn need help

Usually when things are misplaced in SCAL it is because Object/Group was used. Also, if you import a vector file into Inkscape it is automatically Grouped (even if it is only one object). Open your large file in Ink, use Control A, and look at the message bar at the bottom of the window to see if it lists "Group". If so, ungroup anything that is grouped, and save again. HTH

Wow. Thanks for asking about this. I didn't know that even one item is grouped in Ink. I couldn't figure that out for some reason. Heather is the best. I guess I really don't know that much about INK.
