I need help!!
I need help!!
I was having a issue with inkscape I kept having a message that said something about my stuff would not be saved. So I uninstalled inkscape. Now I am trying to install it again and it is telling me the it must be installed in an empty directory. I am not sure how to do this. TYIA

That sounds like this post. http://forums.surecutsalot.com/viewtopi ... =18&t=3619 Take a look and if that doesn't solve your problem, let us know, and give more details. HTH
Re: I need help!!
Inkscape\preferences.xml not a valid XML file, or
you don't have read permissions on it.
Inkscape will run with default settings.
New settings will not be saved.
This is what it says every time I open it. And it will not save any of my projects so I can open them in scal. I have been using inkscape for about 3 months without any problems, until this today. I have tried every thing I can think of. Thanks so much!

Re: I need help!!
You can either try uninstalling, then re-installing Inkscape, or deleting your Inkscape preferences.xml file. If on Windows, it should be in C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Inkscape\ Don't know where it would be on a Mac.
