Arch/Round
I'm sure this has ben posted already but I would like to be able to arch my words and to be able to make my words or sentences circular as well as in other basic shapes like square, heart, dianond, etc.

I just posted on my blog about this earlier today! A great technique if you have MSWord.
I didn't cover it in the post but MSWord has all kinds of shapes besides text in a circle.

I followed your instructions, but Inkscape keeps crashing every time I import or open the pdf file. Any idea why?

If you are using Windows, use svgfactory instead. Have you had problems with any other PDF files? I have heard of other folks having PDF problems, but I have never had any issues on my Mac.
