I created this apron...but I have tried to make it a svg file..and I have no clue what Im doing.
Im ready to pull my hair out.......can ANYONE PLEEEEEEEEEEEEAASE HELP ME!

Here is the svg. You paste, open, or import your jpeg into Ink, make sure it is selected, then Path/Trace bitmap. Select OK in the box that appears. I deleted the original jpeg, then Control L to simplify nodes.
I separated the apron into a background and overlay.

When Im in inkscape..for some reason when I select view after i trace/path bitmap...i dont see the image.

When you trace the bitmap, it places the trace on top of the original image. Move it aside and then you will see both. At the bottom of the Ink window there is a message area that tells you what kind of thing you have selected (image, path, text, etc.), also if you are trying to do something and it doesn't work, it will tell you why.
