Update firmware DS

I have heard today that Provocraft, with the next firmware update, will block SCAL again.

I hope Todd can fix this. So be carefull when you update DS, you could lose the function of SCAL.

It is announced this weekend during the CHA, so hopefully your are just in time.
Just check your firmware version.

OH no!! I just updated my E and got firmware 2.32 is this SCAL compatible....

I can not cut to my E with this update, it freezes at 'checking mat'

2.32 is fine, I am running it right this moment and having no problems at all.

I am new to all this. I just got my cricut about 2 months ago and SCAL a month ago. Do we have to update the firmware for the Cricut? Does it do it automatically or can you choose not to do the update?
