Help w/ Expression-Sure Cuts Alot

I have an Expression that recently died and I sent it to Provo and they replaced it... I tried using a pattern in Sure Cuts Alot and my computer just sits there says checking mat... Do you have any suggestions??? I really need help to cut this THANKS so much Nancy

Did you update the Firmware on your new machine?

yes, I had assumed this issue was fixed. Can I go back to the old firmware? I must confess I have been out of the loop for about 6 months so it as relearn thing. TIA Nancy

Your Expression should work with either version of the Firmware with your Carts. If you can't use SCAL, then you are having a problem with your computer. What operating system are you using on your computer?

It is Windows XP and Designer Studio works fine as well as the rest of the programs. Not sure what issues I would be having with it. I think you can uninstall Design Studio and re-install and it puts back the old firmware.
