I can really use something like this...maybe a bit longer to cover up dog scratch marks...lol..thanks very much. I had been thinking about it but could not come up with any ideas...so I am so glad you shared yours.

Glad you can use it. I measured a rectangular plate on an old door in our house for a size reference but had to make in wider because of the style of newer door knobs. Could be laminated or done with two papers with one as a border or even modge podge for added durability.

Very cool idea. I saw this how to on making elements look like metal and this may be the perfect project for trying it.
