Can anyone tell me if I install Cricut Craftroom will it interfeer with SCAL2? Will I still be able to use SCAL?
I am currently using SCAL2 and the Cricut Expression. I do not want to jeopardize the use of SCAL2.

Re: Cricut Craftroom
I decided it was not worth the chance... I am enjoying using my cricut with SCAL and would be very heartbroken if it stopped working! Maybe down the road I will purchase a different cutter that is a better fit for this software... but for now its not in the cards so I tend to error on the side of caution. Good Luck if you try... and keep me updated on how you make out.

Hello, I was wondering about the same thing. I'm concerned that if I update my Cricut firmware that it won't work with SCAL 2 any more. Has anyone had this experience? I'm currently on v2.31 and SCAL is more important to me than Design Studio or Craft Room.
Thanks for any insight!

Just a thought does anyone know if I can back date my Cricut eg, take off the update I just did. Like most of you SCAL is more important than Cricut Craft Room.

I know of no way you can uninstall on the Cricut (not the same as doing an uninstall of software on a computer). However, if you already lost the ability to use SCAL, what I would suggest is to download Cricut Design Studio to your computer at this link:
http://www.cricut.com/cds/
Use the trial version and do the firmware update from there. I don't know if they made changes to this firmware yet or not to prevent the third party software and have not heard any current updates from anyone. But it seems like you already lost the SCAL2 ability and it would be the only way I could see it would be possible for you to get it back.
