SCAL1 and SCAL2
Can no longer be purchased from craftedge.. I guess they decided to pull it from their download site :S
Re: SCAL1 and SCAL2
Yep...just discovered this too...that is okay though...I still have it, and if I lost it through computer problem they will still honor my original purchase and so it is all fine...and now I don't think so many will be talking about the situation and move on.
I think it will only be better for SCAL 3 sales and users...so I am happy for them...I might move forward to that later too.

Re: SCAL1 and SCAL2
I can't believe my luck, I decided this week after a lot of research and looking into the SCAL programme, to go ahead and purchase a Cricut Create and SCAL. I only just purchased and installed SCAL on Friday and my Cricut arrived and I updated to correct firmware version yesterday morning! Last night I was showing my scrapping friends this great product and how it is a way to use Cricut without cartridges. I went to the SCAL website to show them how easy it is to purchase and install, and it wasn't there! Will I still be able to use my SCAL2 that I have purchased and installed, in the future? Will I still be able to download extra fonts from website to install on my SCAL2, or will it just be safer to keep it as is? I am new to this forum thing, but have found this website's forum so helpful, it's been great to read and use to help make my decision

Re: SCAL1 and SCAL2
If you have it and it works now....it will continue to work and you can use any fonts you like with it just as you were told. You just will not beable to upgrade to SCAL3 unless you purchase a different cutter. I am fine with my old cutter and SCAL2 and don't have immediate plans to change UNLESS there are a bunch of upgrades I am missing out on...then I will get a new cutter and the upgrade for 2 to 3 will be free.

Re: SCAL1 and SCAL2
Thanks gj1, that's great to know! I have only had one day using it, and there is a LOT I need to learn (I fine the tutorials great), but I love it so far! Cutting machines and information is hard to come by over here in NZ, and machines are so expensive, but I will advise my friends to look for a machine that is compatible with SCAL3.
Re: SCAL1 and SCAL2
Glad to have you with us here, and all of the compatible machines for Scal3 are listed on the Craftedge Homepage, Store page, etc. Just tell them to go to Craftedge.com and then they can ask questions here or google about the various machines to find one that is best for them. SCAL is a wonderful program...I enjoy it so much!!!

Re: SCAL1 and SCAL2
*sigh* this is the WORST news :'(
I just got my computer back last night from being fixed and was all ready to dowload SCAL 2 last night, but thought...no no, go to bed, it will be there in the morning....wow! was I ever wrong! When I logged on to the site to download..*poof* it was gone! I guess I will have to be restricted to the PC cartridge library until I can afford a new cutter!
