Foldable Pocket knife

Post by lemontree »

My sister was doing a project for her scout group and wanted a file to cut for a pocket knife. She showed me a picture of one she had found. I didn't like the design much, as it was rather unwieldy. Long story short-- I made a new design for her, and now I share it here for you as well.

I think you did a great job. I assume the blades are moveable. That's pretty cool. :)

Thanks! I guess I should have mentioned the materials I used. The body was made from a cereal box-- shredded wheat, actually, just where it is all red. :) The blades are cardstock, and the trim is paper. All held together with a couple mini brads. So yes, the blades are moveable and fit nicely inside the body of the knife.

This is really a great design. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. I made 20 of these about 15 years ago for my scout troup and of course then I cut them all by hand to practise knife safety. I don't know if I will ever need it again but just in case thank you so much! Rosie
