Yes when you hit reversed it will say mas on the shirt... If you are cutting out the name with the iron on side up or sticky side up you will want it reversed as MAS ..

Easiest way to get your head around it is to either cut from a scrap piece of paper and flip the negative over and see that it reads correctly or hold mirror up to the screen and check it.

It can seem a little confusing because with wall vinyl, the backing sheet is white and attached to the back of the vinyl. With heat press vinyl, the backing sheet is clear and attached to the FRONT side.

Wall vinyl is cut with the finished side UP, facing you. Heat vinyl is cut with the finished side DOWN, facing away from you.

When you apply the heat press vinyl to the mat, make sure you put it with the clear backing side down. I believe that side is shiny and the glue side is dull (we're not talking sticky glue but heat-activated glue). If you're not sure which is which, separate the layers a little at a corner and you will see. Your machine should cut through the colored vinyl but NOT the clear backing sheet.

After the design is cut, you will weed away the extra, leaving the design stuck to the clear sheet, which acts like transfer tape, and then you flip it over on to the shirt and press. The flipping over part is why you cut the design reversed.
