EDITED to add that I got it iron on okay...it was an easy attempt. Now I will need to try something a bit more detailed.
Thanks for your help...finished shirt below the questions I asked here...
I flipped the image when cutting...I put the shiney side or plastic side down on mat and cut light so as not to cut through it.
I thought I would iron on the round part...so I pulled it off...BUT, then I remembered someone saying it would stick to the t-shirt.
Was I suppose to leave that part on the sticky plastic and iron ON TOP of the plastic with some parchment paper over it.
What am I suppose to do? Help!
AND why could I not use curved test FLIPPED...it got all jumbled...I wanted to use Todd's or Sweetness birthday design but could not flip it. WHY? HELP!

When you did the curved text did you remember to group it together first??? Okay so I didn't group it.. Did you do this in SCAL or inkscape.. I just tested it in SCAL and it flipped okay...
Re: How do I do this?...iron on vinyl picture
No, I did not group.
And my directions say shiney side down on mat...the shiney is the sticky platic...if it was up, I would cut that and not the vinyl.
I am confused...but maybe others will say more too. Todd, where are you?
Thanks it does help, could try it the other way with firmer pressure and cut through all, I guess and not flip. I don't know.
Edit to add.
Oh, man...such a simple thing...group and flip...ahhhhhhhhhhhh.

You cut the vinyl correctly. Shiny side or the plastic side of the vinyl down on the mat so that the vinyl cuts. The image needs to be reversed so that when you flip it onto your shirt, it is right reading. You weed all the pieces that you don't want to transfer off of the plastic. You do put the parchment paper on top of the shiny plastic and then iron. When you weed the vinyl, the plastic is sticky, so it will stay in place when you iron.

Put the circle on your mat and then place the parts you weeded out back on last..
Re: How do I do this?...iron on vinyl picture
I got this done by sticking the circle back on the plastic..I was lucky. Picture of finished shirt at the top.
