Hello-new here - what is Inkscrap and what does it do? Do you need this for shapes, etc? How much does it cost? Thanks

We use Inkscape to make designs that can be cut with SCAL. It is a program with a learning curve but I feel the more you use it, the easier it is. It is a vector-based editing program (you use nodes to modify shapes) instead of pixels as in photo editing software ( you can't erase, you have to delete nodes).

All of the designs on the board have been made with Inkscape or another vector editor program. Inkscape is a free program and well worth every penny of it... :D

Inkscape can be obtained from http://www.inkscape.org - you can also get a lot of information about it from this site as well as the help files.
