Newbie here: Do I need DS with SCAL2?
I have just opened my Expression and am starting to play with it....what fun! I purchased DS (only because it was marked way down to $20) but I am wondering if I even need to open the DS? I will purchase SCAL2. Do I need DS with SCAL2? Will the trial version of DS do what I need it to do for the SCAL2? Does the DS trial version expire? Thanks, Oh Wise Ones!! I have learned so much so far from this forum.

If your Expression is new, you probably have the firmware you need for SCAL2 without needing even the trial version of CDS.
For $20 I'd probably keep it though because CDS is indispensable if you are going to use any cartridges besides Plantin Schoolbook (the trial version of CDS will cut Plantin Schoolbook and Accent Essentials)
