transfer tape and freezer paper??

does the transfer tape work with placement of freezer paper when making freezer paper tees? I have a pretty detailed image with lots of little pieces to try to put back together on the shirt to iron down, just wondering has anyone tried this? and don't have time to get t-shirt vinyl here in time for when i need it i'm afraid which is what i would rather use, but have made tons of freezer paper tees and they normally all turn out great! just needed help with the tricky paper pieces getting exactly in the right part to keep the image looking like it should! thanks
