card box

Post by jrichards »

This was supposed to be my project for the last challenge but with all of the planning for the 65th for my parents and all of the spring birthdays in the family I got behind and didn't get it finished. I made all of the flowers using a combination of files. Mom was thrilled with it and she needed a little bright spot with the ugly gray weather we have been having.

Jan - this box came out beautiful. :) I live not too far from Chicago, and it's been chilly and gloomy around here too.

Thanks guys. It took a long time to find all of the pieces parts that make up the flowers but I used a book by Susan Cockburn called Paper Bouquet Hers were done using punches but I found cut files and put them together with those. The problem with 3D flowers is that they don't always work well on a card or scrapbook page but they were perfect for this! I should also thank Penny Duncan for the inspiration and a few cut files. Her flowers are beautiful!

PS. Where is Todd? Is he on vacation? He just seemed to disappear from the forum.
