Rant~Gas went up 33 Cents a Gallon Today.

Not really a problem. If you have a system with rubber piping and parts you need to change them out to nylon. Also, my understanding is that the fuel filter needs to be changed a couple of times until the system gets cleaned out. EGR on diesel engines is pretty nasty, so diesel engines are pretty durable to begin with. You can't convert a gasoline engine, they aren't made to withstand that type of thing.

I am kinda worried I have to call and order gas for the house and I am scared to death of what they are going to charge

Ah, I get fuel oil, too. $3.38 a month ago... That will last us into early next winter. But we are getting a wood burner this summer. And growing a garden. And getting chickens. Old school. I may become Amish, lol!

We cut fire wood and heated only with wood burners a Big 11 room + size farm house for 27 years I ain't going back to that again.

We just moved back in december to a 3 bedroom hose trailor and I ordered in 200 and it cost me 405.00 that was in the middle of december and today for the same amount it was 511.00

It is time to rest and let the furnace kick on and off as needed

Went up here .30 in a matter of minutes. Kids laugh at me when I say I remember when gas was .80 a gallon. That was in the 80's and early 90's. I heard on news that we will be seeing $4.00 or more by memorial day. They need to get with it, people don't travel when gas is high. Lower it to normal and more people travel and spend money. Gov't needs to wake up.

Kinda like when you go in the grocery store and grocery bags were free and they had actual baggers bag your groceries.. WEll now we pay for our bags and bag stuff ourselves. .hmmm.. NOT to mention I get my heating bill and they tell me they are increasing my monthly payments so I don't get hit with an outstanding balance at the end of the year?? Ummm yahh RIGHT!!! My credit was almost 400 bucks for the year. I thought YAH it's so your big head honchos can get another big fat increase on their paychecks.. Same thing just happened with my electricity bill. Like that's going to happen?? the increase I don't think so because I"m fighting this one all the way to the bank.. I've decided I'm going to live like my native heritage background and going to live in a teepee.. in the middle of nowhere..

Gas prices keep going up here in CA too. I spent the weekend in AZ and just by crossing the stateline, gas prices fell by $0.50.

Don't even get me started on the grocery bags. I understand that we should all be recylcing and not wasting but why do I want to put my groceries in reusable bags that will spread germs and cross contaminate food? And, to get these reuseable bags we have to purchase them and advertise for a particular store. I don't think so. I will advertise if the bag is free, or I will purchase a bag that has no store/co logo on it. We aren't being charged yet for bags at the grocery store so I've been stocking up and saving all I can. Will a store bag my groceries in a bag that is not from their store as long as I provide the bag?
