I need a help, please!

Post by Adines »

Hello!

I have some figures in PNG and JPEG paraSVG would like to convert.
I have tried without success in Inkscape.
I've done a search here but found no tutorial that explains.
Does anyone know where can I find?
Thanks for any help!

Firstcut has a list of tutorials by image type on her blog. http://cleversomeday.wordpress.com/images-to-svg/
If you still need more help, please tell us what you are trying to do and describe the kind of image you have (photo, black/white, colored, etc). HTH

How many people here have wonderful and amazing!

The images I have are from Lettering Delights and are coloridas.Já http://cleversomeday.wordpress.com/images-to-svg looked, but could not identify them, the ones I have.
I do not have much knowledge with Inkscape, Photoshop now I can do quite a lot.
The tutorials I found are from other software and SCAL've searched without success.
In the attempts that I made when I open the picture in Scala it is too full of points ...
I'll try to do with the guidance given!
Thank you!
Sorry for my English. I am using a translator!

P.S. Sorry, forgot to say that the files are in PDF format.
I selected a picture at a time, open Paint and then in Inkscape and saved as SVG.
When I open the SCAL figure does not come.

You have to convert it to an svg first. You can't just open a regular picture and save as an svg.. Must do the trace bitmap like I had stated earlier first. .then clean up the image if needed and save as an svg..

You can also try to use TRACE in Scal and then use Path...Simplify to reduce the number of points(nodes).

You can find many files here at this blog above, ready to use and also perhaps ask some questions and get answers more easily.

You should be able to import the .pdf file right into inkscape. If it is a vector graphic (which alot of pdf's are), select the image and hit ungroup until it won't let you anymore. Then you should have an svg. You will know if it is a vector(svg) or an image (which would have to be traced) by selecting the image and looking at the bottom of your inkscape page. It will tell you if the item you are selecting is an image or a path (this is a vector). If it says path, not need to trace it, just save. If it says image, you will have to trace it before you save it. Hope this helps :D !

Thanks again to all who responded to my questions.
Have also asked for help to Paul and so we'll see if I can understand, despite having read the blog this experienced lady, that these files are really hard for a beginner!
