best all purpose vinyl???

I am in hope of making some Christmas gifts for the family (a clock, some tile coasters and other tile items). I"m new at this. I am looking online and there are several different kinds of vinyl. What would be the best all purpose, if there is such a thing and something good for an outdoor sign. Thank you!

Your best indoor vinyl is the Oracal 631 vinyl ... it has a matte finish and is perfect for everything outside of the dishwasher and stove. Your best outdoor vinyl is the Oracal 651 or 751 vinyl. Here is some more info:

I really like the GT5, it is easy to weed and a great all purpose vinyl for everything except walls. I have vinyl basic information on my blog in the right hand column which tells you all you need to know about vinyl.
