I am not aware of one but I have never had a problem since getting the new computer. Check the software you have running in the background and check your RAM. SCAL needs a lot of RAM to run.

My Windows 7 has a problem recognizing my graphic software. My SCAL, CDS and Paint Shop Pro has to be run on XP service Pack 3 and "Run as Administrator". This was told to me my the person that built my computer back in Dec. Once my preferences for the grapics software was set everything runs fine.

A lot of members are having problems using SCAL2 withWin 7 Profession 64 bit and the baby bug. Can't get the bug to cut at all. Haven't found any fix for the error message or freezing at the cutting stage.

GrammyKraus's suggestion on "run as admin" fixed my problem. mine kept quitting in the middle of stuff.

Which Cricut do you have? Are you using the Cricut personal (baby bug) with SCAL2?

Everyone I have talked to who has the original Cricut baby bug and Win 7 64 (Professional version) software can't get them to communicate.

I have the personal cricut and bought a new laptop a couple of months ago, I have been SO disappointed at how my Cricut will stop cutting and freeze up in the middle of a cut. Never did it with my old XP laptop, so I have to keep that around just to use SCAL. I will try the run as administrator option and see if that helps. Do the SCAL people have any patches or updates coming up to help us out?

I have a Windows 7-64bit running and a baby bug and every time I try to cut, the screen either freezes on the current text or says "USB Connecting.." and never does anything. Very disappointed. I hope there will be a new version coming out with a fix to this.

I have the same problem still with baby bug and Windows 7. I will not work at all whether I run in xp compatibility or any other mode. I have to keep my mostly-broken down computer around just for this. Annoying.

I really hope they do come out with a fix for this ASAP - windows 7 has been out for awhile now.
