PLEASE HELP ME

I have these SCUT files (gable box #1) that I downloaded from sopranoannie. But when i tried to preview it does not show the correct cut (see #2). When I tried Select All, Group, Path Union, I missing some shapes (#3). Can someone help me, please. I'm having this problem since updating the SCAL2. The SCAL file I think is an SCAL1.

With cut outs you need to use the Exclude function.
Select the Cut out the Shift select the Background piece that the cut is on and then choose the Exclude function. Once you have done all the cutouts you can select all then use the Union function.

Or if you want, if you can also convert the file for me. I want to know the step by step since I have some SCAL1 files that I'm having problem with. Thank you again.

Thank you so very much, Craig. It work with the gable box cut file. I was practicing with the other SCAL1 cut files, sometimes it works sometimes not. I think I just needed some practice. Craig, again, thank you so very much for the instructions.
