When I try to trace ANY .jpeg file in SCAL2 it tells me that the image type is not supported. Everything worked fine for a long time and suddenly it just doesn't work anymore, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program and it's still doing the same thing!
The only thing that was changed on my computer was an upgrade to adobe photoshop elements. It was a trial of PSE and I've since removed that and have tried to reinstall SCAL2 since then.
Has anyone else had this problem and what can I do to fix it?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Can you help me?

What is the extension of the files you are trying to trace. This is going to sound simplistic but have you looked at the files and their extensions to ensure they are jpg not psd (photoshop)or tiff extensions. I did see you put jpgs in the earlier message but I just wanted to be sure of the lowest common denominator issue first.

And then assuming that the files are true jpg files.....
When do you get that message.
You click File - Trace Image - Click Browse - you click on the file you want to trace then click Open ... then it happens? Or does it happen somewhere else?

Re: Can you help me?
I noticed in your original post you indicated the files were .jpeg, not .jpg. That will make a difference.

I learned something new tonight. I Googled the difference and Jpeg and Jpg and one blog said in a couple of different places that Jpeg is supported by Mac and Jpg is supported by Windows. So does it make a difference if you are trying to import into Scal? Don't know but it's something to think about.

Re: Can you help me?
They are .jpg, sorry about the .jpeg typo
It happens when I go to trace image, browse and select my file and it says "Invalid Image: The image type is not supported"
The craziest part is that it's even like that with .jpg's that I've traced before?!?

Re: Can you help me?
I still haven't been able to figure this out. Have updated my SCAL to the newest version available. Also have contacted craftedge support MANY times and they keep responding for me to send them the file, when I do I never hear back from them. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times and it's always the same.
Here's what happens. I go to trace and pick my image (any image of any file type .jpg .bmp whatever else. I've tried them all) Then it tells me the file type is not supported.
Can any of you help me? Please
