How do you create files to cut?

Post by TeriD »

Do you create stuff in photoshop or what program and how do you do it, where do you get stuff to create to share files? Does this make sense?

That's a good question that's not easy to answer!!
Well the short answer-- inkscape-- that is usually a program that gets opened for some reason or another with each of my projects. I know others use Illustrator, GIMP, etc.
I guess it really depends on what kind of project you are looking to do... if it is something you can simply draw/create with a program or if it is something you'll need a ready made image to convert. Maybe a little of both (maybe a lot of both ;) ).
For me, I like to waste time with random searching on google images to see if I can find something that sparks my interest and looks worthy of effort. I know lots of people like looking at blogs to see what others are creating to get inspiration.

I'm not sure if this is the answer to your question or not, but it's an attempt at least :)

You can actually even open your images or jpegs right up in SCAL2 ... If it's a clear enough image without too many small parts bring it right to scal..
