uninstall the update to CDS and reinstall the original version. You will be able to cut with sure cuts alot and cds. If you need to see the new cartridges on CDC, you will need to do some fancy installing and renaming. I have a document that I can email you if you send me your email address . rtaylor2336@sbcglobal.net
This is caused from the CDS update. They (Provo Craft) are probablky trying to block SCAL but Todd has been wonderful in finding ways around the attemps.

HELP!!! I downloaded the trial version of SCAL and then the trial version of CDS. I installed the SCAL and then the CDS, did the firmware update and then when I tried to cut with SCAL, I am getting the lines through everything. I had read about the X but I am actually getting lines - I don't want to pay for the full version of SCAL if it is not going to work properly.
Now I can't cut anything with the SCAL - it just locks up.
SCAL trial cuts lines through everything - SCAL full version doesn't.
Some people have had problems after updating DS - follow the above instructions and you should be OK.

I bought the full version and cut one design with no problem. Now when I try to cut, the software/bug seems to be locking up at the connecting screen that pops up. Nothing happens and I have to shut everything down using the wiindows task manager. Any thoughts or insights?
I have the trial version of CDS, bought SCAL installed it, update my CDS so now a line will cut thru my projects using SCAL? i guess I need to do something but what?
Do I need CDS to use SCAL? where do I get an original trial version of CDS?
