having problems cutting/designing words with scal

Post by susiecm3 »

Ok i am at my wits end today, finally found some time to do some crafts and planning and got nothing done !!!

I am trying to to a 12x12 page of welded words half mum and half love for my minded children as part of my valentine planning but scal keeps freezing and shutting down then when it opens back up its all off line :x if i try to save it before i cut it still freezes so i loose my words :(

Is there an easy way to do this???

Still pretty new to this only tend to cut from my carts and then i can select auto fill :)

Since the last time you have used SCAL, have you added any new software to your computer that uses the USB hubs? Cell phone, scanner and some other software may interfere with how SCAL works on your computer.

Hi Todd just replied to your pm, this laptop actually is not used much for usb connections apart from my phone and kids ds cards, could it be that??? Although i used them on my last laptop too????

Leaving the words for now, will come back to them when i have calmed down :)

I have had the same problem since buying this product. I was cutting trains out for a Polar Express ticket I was doing and when I left the trains big it worked great but when I would shrink them down to three inches long and add more than one to the mat it freezes up. I finally gave up and printed a ticket I found on line out. It seems to freeze up when I fill the on line mat up with images or hoover over and an image with my mouse while trying to figure out what to do next. The program has done this since I bought it but I still think it's wonderful and am very happy to have it so will live with it.
