Please help..inkscape to SCAL

Please help me! I followed all the steps to trace and save a file in inkscape so i could open it in scal, but it won't work! It says unable to open the project file. I am going nuts. I just had to re-download all these programs because my hard drive died....and now it seems like I can't do anything right! TIA!

Are you trying to File/OPEN the Inkscape file in SCAL? If so that is your problem. You File/IMPORT .svg files into SCAL.
