I have some Photoshop CS3 .psd's that I've used both with Adobe Illustrator as well as Inkscape and coverted to svg format.
When I import them into scal they immediately go to the upper left hand corner of the mat and I see absolutely nothing. The position reads x:10416.66 / y:10416.66 with h: -10416.66 and w: -10416.66.
I can not nudge it or manually enter any position info.
I've attached some jpg's of the svg's I would like created (there are 6 needing to be resized down to 23.5" - I made them 24" wide, forgot about cutting mat limitations.). These are for some vinyls designs.
I have attached the jpg files (zipped for size) If someone could make me 23.5" wide svg's of these I would greatly appreciate it as I am trying to get the vinyls done in time for a carshow.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If this is in the wrong section please let me know or move it please.

Re: problems importing svg's into SCAL
I only downloade d3 and d2 and both are jpg not svg's. I didn't however download the rest. Are you wanting to convert the jpgs to svg's? We would be able to help better to see the svg's you created to see why they wont import

I agree Grammy. It would be better to see the svgs. I decided to play a bit with d3 and trace it, but it was kind of time-consuming for me. I've attached it anyway.

Yes, please attach the SVGs. Some of us might be clever enough to figure out what's wrong with the SVGs, fix them up, and help teach you how to fix them up in the future.
I'm a bit unclear on your conversion to SVG process. Did the files start in Photoshop, then get turned to SVG by Illustrator? Or did you use Inkscape to convert them to SVG?
A couple of tips. SCAL doesn't like excessively grouped files. You might try selecting all in Inkscape and doing several "Ungroup" commands to see what happens. Also, too many points can cause problems. Check this post for information on how to adjust the "Simplify" preference to reduce the number of nodes in a file. I set it to 0.0001 - the smallest it will go - and it still removes a lot of nodes from paths I've imported from other programs.

Re: problems importing svg's into SCAL
I took a stab at one of the files. The original bitmap graphics ought to trace in Inkscape very nicely. The jpegs provided had a bit of compression aliasing that messed things up a bit. Check the tutorial here, "3. Converting Images to SVG Files - Inkscape's Most Important Feature" for basic instructions on how to trace a bitmap.
