I need to know if there is a way just to cut one thing that is one the mat? Like if I had the letters h,k,l and I just wanted to cut the k how could I do this without coping and pasting to a new page? I haven't ever had to do this before but now I'm in need of it..
Thank you
I need to know something..

on scal 2 you could put it on a different layer and just cut that one... or just highlight the items you don't want and delete them

use your arrow keys and let the others go off the virtual mat and only the ones left on the mat will cut.

So if I take something off the mat it will not cut it? But can I then put it back on it?

Yes.. Just drage them back to the cutting space.... Another way you can do it is because there are Text fonts in SCAL2 Just type your letter, cut and delete it and then do the same with the next letters...
