Pdf to Svg then to Scut

Post by GrammyKrausse »

I have a pdf I opened in Inkscape and saved it as an svg. When I import into Scal all is upside down. Everything is fine except it's upside down. Does anyone know what causes this and is there something I can do to fix it. :?:

Grammy,
I have this happen a lot and have never been able to figure out why, but it is easy to fix. If it is just cutting upside down then you don't have to do anything, just turn the cutout around after you pull it off the mat. Mine are always flipped, too, though. In that case, rotate and flip in the opposite direction in SCAL so that the SVG cuts correctly.

I hadn't noticed it before but you are correct it also is flipped. I think it had something to do with how Provo Craft did the pdfs for Tinkerbelle booklet. Followed your suggestion though and turned it upside down and flipped it in Inkscape saved it and when imported in SCAL it was just fine. Thanks for the hint.
Grammy :)
