I found a new easy way to put text on a path.

Hi, I had to reformat my computer so I decided to load the pre-release version of Inkscape 0.47. Before I explain the rest please wait for the full release of this version, but for anyone already using 0.47 you may find this tutorial useful. A word can be written, then copied so when the pencil or bezier tool is used your text is put on a path instead of the straight line you get in version 0.46. The word that is copied to the clipboard can then be used over and over to create different text paths. The full instructions are on my blog http://cuttingtime.blogspot.com/2009/08 ... -text.html
