problem in scal

Post by EdeeJohnson »

I'm having a problem. I am creating a diecut in inkscapes and it looks perfect, exactly how I want it to layer and look on my mat in scal. Then I open scal, import the file and pieces are not where they are in inkscapes. They overlap other pieces. Any suggestions?

Open your svg in Inkscape. look at the bottom information bar and see if it has groups if so ungroup and save again and see if that solves your problem. Scal does not like grouped images.
If it doesn't help if you could show us the file someone here can see if they can help you.

It also helps if you say which SCAL you are using. 1 or 2

it didn't help. It is doing it with several files and I am doing the exact thing I always do and haven't had any other problems.

I take that back, it did work, but I had to ungroup until everything was ungrouped! Thankyou.
