I almost have it! but not quite=)

It looks like I will be able to cut everything separately, I closed off the collar and I would like to cut that by itself also so I can piece everything together. I can't figure out how to make the collar by itself. Please help=)

I set the stoke on the lines you used for the collar edges to black, used the paint bucket to fill it, then deleted the two lines since you need a closed shape for SCAL. I used the node tool to move the top and bottom edges of the collar away from the head and body a little. If you want a solid background mat for this, the easiest way to do that is to select everything, Path/Combine, linked offset. Move the little square until you like the size of the mat. Path/Object to path. You may need to delete inner pieces from the base/mat to make it solid. HTH
