how do you convert any files to SVG and

can you convert files that have alot of things on them. I save stuff from cropycats.com they have some cute stuff on there and I was wondering how to convert them so I can cut them with the cricut

you need a program like inkscape (free at www.inscape.com) or corel draw, or adobe illustrator.
you have to import the bitman, and trace it, then you can save the trace as an svg which you will then import into scal.
sometimes you need to clean up the design in your tracing program so it will cut good. Look in the tutiorals sections, there are many tutiorals on working these programs.
